A monetary donation is the fastest, easiest way to join the Big brothers Big Sisters mission and help a child. Your financial support makes it possible for more children to experience the benefits of a Big Brother or Big Sister. You have the power to change the life of a child living in Washington County for the better, forever. Your financial support not only impacts the life of a child, but the family, mentor, school, and community. It only takes the click of a mouse or a quick phone call to Start Something.
One-Time Gift: One donation is all it takes to Start Something that will last a lifetime.
Sustained/Monthly Giving: Pledge to make a donation (of any size) monthly or quarterly for any length of time. It’s an effective way to provide continued support and spread out your total donation. We can invoice you it if helps.
Cynthia Mott Scholarship Fund: Help support and maintain our annual scholarship started by, and in memory of, former Big Sister Cynthia Mott. A $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding “Little” who is graduating High school and entering college or technical school. The fund is managed by Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
Bequests or Planned Giving: a planned gift allows a donor to contribute to BBBS over a period of years or as part of an estate plan. Properly designed, it can generate a charitable income tax deduction. It can be designed for a specific purpose or provide unrestricted support for BBBS programs. These gifts are made in the form of trusts, bequests, or endowments.
Stocks and Securities: No matter what the tax bracket a donor is in, making a gift of appreciated stock makes sense. Tax benefits for a donor who has owned appreciated stocks for more than one year are two-fold. Capital gains tax is avoided upon transfer to BBBS and the donor can receive an income tax charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock on the date of the gift.
Endowment Gift: Contribute to the agency’s Acorn fund and provide long term support for the future.
