Memorial Go-Kart Inc.

Memorial Go-Kart's mission is to coordinate a fun and safe go-kart building and racing event designed to bring community members together to mentor and support youth. It was founded after the tragic accident and death of Parker Klumb, who was never able to realize his dream of building and racing a go-kart with his friends.

Youth, ages 10-18, are assisted and mentored by community experts and volunteer racing professionals through the assembly process of the go-karts prior to the event (in September.) Through this build process, youth will develop team concepts, learn to have fun and work as team, realize their potential and learn new skills. After the build process is complete, each team member is provided with individualized safety and driving instructions. Through the Memorial Go-Kart Event and racing season, youth experience a focus on positive energy, and educational opportunity, the development of new interests/potential, mentoring and team-building opportunities.

BBBS of Washington County encourages its matches and supporters to consider attending one or more of the free go-kart races and the Memorial Go-Kart Event.
