How To Become a Big

Adults who wish to become a Big Brother or Big Sister are carefully screened through interviews, personal and professional reference checks as well as through a criminal background check and possible home visit, before they are accepted into the program. All Bigs are required to attend Big 101 training prior to being matched with a Little. Next, the approval of the Little’s parent or guardian is obtained prior to making a match between a Big Brother or Big Sister and a Little. Then matches are responsible for consistently meeting with one another while regularly corresponding with their assigned agency support person.
