Yes, really!  100 holes in 1 day!!  The Golf Marathon is BBBS’s new fundraiser and will be held September 18th at Kettle Hills Golf Course in Richfield.

This is the iron man of golf.  Each individual golfer attempts to golf 100 holes in one day, dawn to dusk.  Carts and balls are provided.  Marathon golfers will be the only ones on the course for the day and special rules are set to keep the golfers moving.  Food and beverages will be provided to the golfers all day.  There is no registration fee but each golfer is asked to raise at least $1000 in sponsorship, using an easy on-line fundraising tool.  Ask friends and colleagues to sponsor $1/hole for 100 holes.  If you get 10 friends to do that, you reach $1000.

The grand prize will go to the golfer raising the most money and a second prize will go to the golfer completing the most holes.  Friends and supporters are welcome to come out and cheer on marathoners all day. Call the office for more information and registration.  There are corporate sponsorships available as well.  Help spread the word to all your golf fanatics!

It takes a community of families, volunteers, Big Brothers Big Sisters staff and donors to successfully provide long-term, professionally supported one-to-one volunteer mentoring services.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County is a non-profit organization that helps boys and girls in our community reach their full potential through one-to-one mentoring relationships with volunteer adults.Being a mentor does not require special education or skills - just a willingness to be a friend to a child. Think about it this way - who was the special person who broadened your horizons, cheered you on and brought a little magic into your life growing up? It may have been a teacher, neighbor, cousin, coach, or family friend. Usually it's an ordinary person, doing ordinary things, creating the extra-ordinary. That is when the little moments of mentoring create big magic.

Screened, matched, and supported by professional staff, community volunteers mentor boys and girls ages 6-18 who live in Washington County. Mentoring not only brings magic into the lives of the Littles, but also into the lives of the volunteer Bigs.

It Takes a Community to Mentor a child…
Thank you for making our Community stronger.

Behind every successful mentoring match is a team of selfless, dedicated believers. We honor those like you who make it possible for our mentoring matches to be strong, enduring and successful. Thank you for your volunteer service and for helping to change the life of a child for the better, FOREVER
