MEET THE STAFF

Behind this agency is a vast group of empowered individuals who bring our mission to life. Our Bigs are not saviors, they are allies. Our parents and guardians put their trust in us, knowing that working together gives their child incredible opportunities and a bright future. Our community of families, Bigs, teachers, administrators, county workers, and donors make Big Brothers Big Sisters the powerful organization it is. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County is completely privately funded. The families we support have no fees to participate in our program. Big Brothers Big Sisters is here for Washington County. We stand with potential. We are BIG.

As a former Big Sister, I’ve experienced firsthand the wonderful work of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County. My Little and I graduated in 2022 and our friendship continues to grow. We don’t see each other as often, but when we do, it is as if no time has passed. My family and I are blessed to have this experience and support a child.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is supported by a vast group of individuals who bring our mission to life. Our Bigs are the backbone of the agency. Our parents and guardians put their trust in us and together we can provide incredible opportunities for their child and a bright future.

We are fortunate to be supported by the community of families, volunteers, schools, county workers and donors. With the help of our donors and fundraising events, we can provide support at no cost to the parent or guardian.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is here for Washington County. We stand with potential. We are BIG.

Hello! I am so excited to be joining the Big Brother Big Sisters of Washington County team as the Program and Activities Director. Although, I am new to the team, I have had many years of experience and education in working with children and families of various backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and styles. The past few years, I have spent time working at a school where I was able to help develop various programs to help meet the needs of the families in the school community. I have learned the importance of listening, observing, and developing plans to be able to reach not only the families needs, but their interests as well.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my own family whether it is going to escape rooms, playing BINGO, or just randomly bursting into song. I also love going on adventures by delving into a good book or watching movies and documentaries.

I am looking forward to being able to bring my experience and interests to the table at Big Brothers Big Sisters and cannot wait to get to know the Bigs, the Littles, and their families.

I am super excited to be joining Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County. I recently graduated college with a bachelors degree in sociology. I am looking forward to working with an amazing team, families, and their children. Big Brothers Big Sisters is an amazing non-profit organization that has helped so many families and children.

Hello! I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County team!

I have worked retail for 20+ years, so I am happy to finally step away from that and do something more near and dear to my heart where I can give back to the community in any way that I can. I truly believe in the difference mentors make with the Littles in our community.  When they say that “not all heroes wear capes”, remember that you are a part of that.

I look forward to meeting everyone involved with such an amazing organization, including all the Bigs, the Littles and their families! Make sure stop in at the office and say ‘Hi’! 😊
