We are traveling to Mod Ledger to learn about Entrepreneurship. Meet 16-year-old Wyatt who recently started his own business, who has a dream to open a small pet shop right here in West Bend. Join us for a hands-on activity where Mod Ledger will show youth how real business transactions work.

Spooktacular Halloween Party

Blue Lotus Center
Come rejuvenate your minds, bodies, and spirits in a beautiful setting. BBBS is going to Blue Lotus Center. You will be inspired as you and your Little immerse in the healing resources nature offers. Their secluded setting can empower, encourage and inspire joy!
There will be BIKING, BOATING, FISHING, HIKING, YARD GAMES AND A CAMPFIRE WITH S’MORES! We will also have a Yoga session with Felicita Holtzman from Blue Luna Yoga.

We are here to help YOU learn how to set and reach goals, figure out what fits YOU best after high school, how to prepare YOU ahead of time, and so much more!
To go in line with setting SMART Goals, you will have the opportunity to create a Vision Board . A fun way to create your goals that you want to achieve in the year of 2026.

      BBBS at West Bend Farmer's Market
This is the last Farmer’s Market we’ll be at for the summer. Come and say Hi, and visit the world famous, Downtown West Bend Farmer’s Market, which is celebrating 50 years! Vendors will be set up all along Main Street and our booth won’t be too far from our office entrance! Learn more about the Farmer’s Market here!
Also, while there, stop by our booth at stall #86 and participate in Youthtrition. During the Farmer's Market we will be giving matches money to participate in the Youthtrition Event. Use the money to buy some ingredients and then make a dish together. Send pictures of you all cooking together and your dish for the newsletter and website.

      WSCF Super Saturday Chess Workshop
Do you want to learn how to play chess and compete in a tournament. Well here is your opportunity. Bigs and Littles will pair up to learn the basics of chess including, piece movement, strategy and other basic rules and practices of chess. All Littles will receive a medal and the top 3 players will receive trophies. All Littles will ALSO go home with a chess board and pieces. Lunch will be provided and breaks in the morning and afternoon. Also, if you know someone who would like to volunteer to be a Big for a Day who is 16 years of age or older, please have them reach out to Ayesha. Register today!

Taste & Learn Nonprofit Fair: Children & Families
There are so many impactful nonprofits right here in our community. We invite you to join us in learning all about them, the great works that they do, and the resources they provide. So, without further ado we give you, our Taste & Learn Nonprofit Fairs. Each fair will showcase nonprofits that share similar missions, with one fair a month through September 2025.
In August, we welcome the Children & Family group. You can expect to see organizations such as:
- Casa Guadalupe Education Center 
- Boys and Girls Clubs of Washington County 
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County 
- United Way of Washington County 
- Downtown West Bend Association 
- 4C For Children and Family Center of Washington County

Hang out with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County and other Germantown public services at this year’s Germantown N.A.C Night Out! Germantown National Night Out (Neighbors Against Crime Night) is an evening where community members can get to know their police officers and firefighters and learn about the many things our community has to offer. Enjoy a night of activities, food, raffles and demonstrations by the Germantown Fire and Police Departments.

5 Matches can join us for a kayaking adventure down the Milwaukee River, with Silent Wake who will teach and guide us on a 2-hour kayaking trip. First come, first serve!       Washington County Juneteenth Celebration
Juneteenth is a federal holiday that celebrates the freedom of previously enslaved African Americans. The celebration will feature food (for purchase), activities, a variety of booths, and music for the duration of the event. The event will be at Pike Lake and lake activities are available but not sponsored or provided through our organizations or donors. The event is open to the public and free to attend.
 
        
      
      Great Lakes Fishing
Enjoy a morning on Lake Michigan while trolling for fish followed by a picnic lunch on Sunday, June 22. Be to the Port Washington Marina between 5:00-5:30AM. Boats can hold 2-3 people. Anyone over 16 must have a fishing license to fish and a trout/salmon stamp. Plus you get to take home any fish you catch and the captains will clean them for you!
Be sure to dress weather appropriate, bring a snack and drink along if you wish, and wear tennis shoes.
Did we mention that there are awards for those who catch the most fish in weight?!
